Thanks for this article. It confirms again I made the right decision. You see, I was no longer prepared to pay for Apple hardware, but I was on the fence about either building a Hackintosh or just making the switch to Linux.

In the end I chose Linux, and there are no regrets. At first I was afraid of laggy apps - like you are mentioning as well - because I tested Gimp, Inkscape and the likes on macOS. But on Linux they perform many times better.
