You are right on this. And to be honest, I too thought Linux Desktop wasn’t a viable option for a primary machine. But I was wrong. After long consideration, I switched from macOS to Linux (Pop!_OS) and have been loving every moment of it. I chose a Dell, despite their dodgy reputation, and for now at least, it seems like a good choice.
